On the afternoon of December 11, a delegation headed by Pan Biyi, Secretary of Party Committee and Chairman of MCC19, paid an official visit to Li Benwen, Chairman of Chengdu Environment Investment Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Chengdu Environment Group). They exchanged opinions regarding implementation of cooperation project and furtherance of cooperation in municipal sewage treatment, river governance, soil contamination treatment, among other fields.

　　Pan Biyi extended thanks to Li Benwen for his warm welcome and made a brief introduction to the basic information of MCC19. He said, established during the “Third Front Movement” of China, after over 50 years of hard efforts including northward and eastward movements and second venture, MCC19 has developed into a large-scale comprehensive construction enterprise with more than 30 subsidiaries, which has three special-grade and eight class-A qualifications with a focus on metallurgy, house building and municipal works. He said, by virtue of gaining profound technical experience and advantages during the process of serving industrialized construction across China and inheriting comprehensive capacity system featuring coordination of multiple domains and integration of different disciplines in metallurgical engineering during transformation and development, MCC19 has made outstanding achievements in water environment governance, construction of highways and urban infrastructure, etc. over recent years. Currently, led by EPC and driven by industrialized, green and smart construction industry, the company is committed to building six business systems including metallurgy, transportation, municipal works, house building, environmental protection, underground space and track engineering, with a view to building full-process engineering product service chain and value chain, thus gradually establishing significant enterprise competiveness. He stressed that, the energy conservation and environmental protection industry has been gaining momentum over recent years. In the “13th Five-Year Plan” period, environmental protection industry is even defined as significant means for adjusting economic structure and transforming economic development mode. As environmental protection industry will play an increasingly significant role in national strategy and urban construction and development, Chengdu Environment Group, as China’s leading and Western China’s largest water supply and environmental protection enterprise in terms of size, will have great development potential. It’s hoped that Chengdu Environment Group makes full use of its significant advantages in industrial chain and operation fields while MCC19 makes full use of its technology, personnel and management advantages in construction field, with an aim to enhance cooperation in municipal sewage treatment, river governance, soil contamination governance, among others.

　　Li Benwen extended a warm welcome to Pan Biyi and briefly introduced the basic information of Chengdu Environment Group. He said, as a state-owned large-scale environment enterprise that has been devoted to water supply and environmental protection for 7 decades, Chengdu Environment Group is engaged in water supply, solid waste comprehensive utilization, air & soil contamination governance, environmental protection equipment manufacturing, environmental protection integrated services, among others. It has a whole industrial chain featuring sustainable utilization of water resources with businesses covering entire China. He said, MCC19 and Chengdu Environment Group were jointly awarded the contract for Phase I project of Phase VI industrial sewage treatment plant of industrial integrated development zone of Southwest Airport cluster in June this year, which laid a solid foundation for cooperation. Currently, Chengdu Environment Group is executing and implementing the “Eastward Movement” strategic deployment of Chengdu. It’s hoped that both parties will carry out full cooperation and exert respective advantages to enhance cooperation in sewage treatment, urban environment comprehensive governance, environmental protection equipment manufacturing industry, among others, with an aim to jointly help build Chengdu into a beautiful and livable garden-style city.
